Change in Competition Schedule

On September 28th the CHS Band is scheduled to attend the Dobyns Bennet contest in Kingsport, TN. Due to circumstances out of my control that festival has been cancelled, which leaves us with an open date. At rehearsal yesterday we had our seniors vote on what they wanted to do that weekend. After looking at all options our seniors voted to attend the Chilhowie Apple Festival that weekend. The Chilhowie contest is in its 61st year and has a great slate of judges so it should prove to be a good learning experience for our band.
